Discovery fuels my inspiration which leads to more discovery.

I’m always in search of the big picture and asking “why”. My driving motivation is to create interesting work and find meaningful solutions.

As a first-generation Brazilian-American in Texas, I’ve developed a curiosity and sensitivity for noticing connections. Those who know me have often seen me obsess over seemingly minute things like the varying meanings of the word pastel across different latin-based languages, or going all in to learn everything about a new hobby.

In my work, this perspective helps me look at the individual elements in a design and identify patterns that create a cohesive design system, where all the parts work together towards a whole.

  • What I've done

For the last 7.5 years, I worked at Broadcat, where I created materials that help businesses train their employees on how to do their jobs ethically and compliantly. I started designing training and communications there in 2016, and eventually moved into managing content and production. My previous experience includes creating branding, print signage, and websites for universities, events, and small businesses.

  • What I'm good at

I’m skilled in taking complex concepts and breaking them down into a simplified design. I lead a team that makes infographics, long-form educational presentations, editorial displays, and animated videos. I’m a problem-oriented learner, and ask the right questions to find the most meaningful solution. While I love collaboration, I’m also comfortable working independently and efficiently, and I also encourage my team to find that balance.

  • Where I want to grow

My interest lately has been centered around two areas—print design and product design. I’ve recently entered the world of zine-making and art books, which has renewed my love for print and paper. Meanwhile, my content manager position at Broadcat has also led me to think more closely about how people interact with a digital product, and it’s impact. I’m currently taking a UX Design course to feed those interests.
